CDL encourages deep exploration of an individual's artistic and professional voice, whether through creative processes or repertoire work. We aim to open minds and hearts, fuel passion, and build meaningful connections in a vibrant and supportive environment.
In this 3 day workshop, dancers will be invited to learn from CDL faculty in contemporary workshops focusing on improvisation, technique, and repertory for intermediate to advanced levels.

About the
Program
1 / How does the pop-up lab differ from CDL’s other intensives?
The Pop-Up Lab is a more condensed, high-impact experience that gives dancers a taste of the training and atmosphere of a full CDL intensive. Unlike our longer programs, it focuses on key elements of contemporary dance—floorwork, improvisation, repertory, and technique—all within a shorter timeframe.

In addition to movement-based training, each day includes discussions on navigating a career in contemporary dance, providing valuable insights for dancers looking to take the next step in their journey.
2 / Who can Apply for the Pop-Up Lab?
The pop-up lab is built for dancers who want to experience something new and grow their own artistic identity! Everyone 12 years or older is welcome to apply for this summer intensive!​
3 / Can I Apply for Both the Toronto Summer Intensive and the Pop-Up Lab Scholarship?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to apply for the Toronto Summer Intensive, and doing so will not affect your eligibility for a scholarship through the Pop-Up Lab.
